With basic search, what you need to do is just typing a query in the edit box, and pressing the Enter key or clicking the Search button.
Advanced Search Advanced search allows you to define the options for the search. By doing this you may be able to get better results. Highlight allows you to choose which search engines are to be searched. To include a search engine in the search you should check the box before the name of the search engine. The number of documents to be retrieved can also be defined. Choosing a larger number will introduce more documents, but the search process may take longer. You can also specify the type and the number of concepts. The following picture will give more details about each option.

name of each search engine.
E: Document Frequency means the number of documents in which a concept occurs.
Increase this number to exclude those concepts that occur in less documents.
